Busy Bees

It has been WAY too long since I have updated you on what's going on in my life. It feels like it has been a whirlwind! Between having friends visiting and hosting potential volunteers, planning medical outreaches, and the busyness of the ship preparing for the dry dock, life has been crazy!

Recruiting at the U of N Showcase!

Yes, you heard right, the ship is preparing for dry dock! Finally, the only thing between us and the dry dock is waiting for our dates! As soon as the dry dock company gives us dates of when we will be able to go up, we can start coordinating and lining up all of the things that need to happen while we are there. A lot of different companies and surveyors need to arrive in-country and do work while we are up, and if things aren't lined up well or there is a delay, it can be extremely expensive. Please pray for wisdom and provision as we try to communicate to all of our vendors.

That said, the office has been a really busy place! Not just with the ship, but with the medical outreaches as well! I've been able to assist fourteen medical volunteers in getting to Madang so far this year, and we have another nine lined up to arrive before the end of the year. We are currently running our sixth medical outreach of the year! Our next outreach will have THREE dentists! That's amazing!!

The office gang!

It has been absolutely amazing to see the Lord's provision over the last few months, and how things are starting to move so quickly. God is multiplying and mobilizing our ministry, and it is so exciting to see.

Serving the community by doing covid-testing for a soccer tournament

Every day I wake up and am just in awe of how perfectly the Lord has provided for me. From my housing, to my finances, to a nursing job that I love and fits my needs perfectly; to amazing friendships who bless me on the regular, and a work that is greater than myself that I love. Five years ago I never would have chosen this for myself, and I am so overwhelmed by the goodness of God and his perfect plan for my life.

Besties!

I'm really excited for the rest of this year: to see the ship sailing, to be able to travel as a part of recruiting and mobilizing medical professionals into missions, to see our ministry be established in Madang for the long term, and to see lives changed through medical care and oral bible translation!

Hiking on the weekends

Also, I'm coming to Calgary for a visit! I'll be in town from August 4-15, so if you'd like to get together please let me know!

I celebrated my very first 4th of July!
